Despite the early morning showers in the Fort Worth/Dallas area, the skies cleared up before the show gates opened. Turned out to be a nice day in the sun.

On the first Saturday each November, the Volks Folks Volkswagen Club of Fort Worth, Texas puts on their annual event. This year, marks the second time they used the Burger's Lake location, which works out great for the size and scope of this super VW event. Yes, it rained during the wee hours of the morning, which for the out-of-towners, meant the show might be rained out. But luck would some times have it, the rain stopped before the event got going. For the rest of the day, we enjoyed a cool sunny Saturday at Burger's Lake. With super cheap grilled hot dogs, cold drinks, chips and homemade desert items, lunch was outstanding. We should also make a note that without a doubt, the music played at this event is the best ever. Thanks to the awesome music collection of DJ Daniel Carpenter, we enjoyed music from the '60s and '70s.
Hand-painted Bay Window looks right out of the '70s.

The talk of the show was the radio-controlled (by remote) mini roll-back VW Bug from Mexico. Talk about detailed body lines. Where can we buy one of these?
You gotta love Yukon Yellow '67 convertibles.
Great looking Manx-style buggy.
VW-powered MG TD roadster kit car.
Burger's Lake is a great place to hang out on a sunny weekend.
