Today was the first day they ran down the salt flats in 2014 competition at Bonneville. Under hot but clear skies, two dozen VWs made passes, despite numerous delays due to mishaps on the course (non-VW related). Salt conditions were good, other than the washed out entry road, and a lot of spectators watched the VWs closely. Runs down the salt flats continues on Sunday and Monday. VW records will fall!
