The 75th running of the popular Bugorama at Sacramento took place this past Saturday and Sunday. We witnessed several BRS records broken (in Pro Gas and Pro Turbo), and yet another Pro-Mod car break into the 7-second bracket (Dave Perkins). There was plenty of nitro in the air too, as Steve Phillips tore up the 1/4-mile in his fuel-burning VW-power digger. On Saturday night, CB Performance's Pat Downs ran a 9.44 and a 9.41 in his Pro Stock VW Bug.
Pat Downs ran 9.44 and 9.41 in Pro-Stock form.
Ken Porter boils the hides... He was runner up in Pro-Gas.
Round 2 saw Tony Klink take out Patrick Friel in Pro Gas.
Just how long is this Bay Window bus?
Found in the swap meet.....1962 bus with roof tent, owned and restored by Lonny Recore of Antelope, CA. Known as "Lustie Da Bus", fitted with a straight (rear) axle and dual-port 1600cc. Originally found about 3 years ago after sitting in a field since 1979 by Robert Skinner the sold to Lonny, who started with a bare shell and got it back on the road.
Rossi Durkee was runner up in Pro Eliminator
Jason Fuller was runner up in Pro Turbo
Steve Phillips lost reverse on this burnout, so his crew had to push him back to the starting line after his long burnout.
